School got out for Livvy and Alex on the 3rd of June. I promised them last month we would go to the zoo in Idaho Falls and check out the new sloth bears. Well the zoo was good but we didnt see the bears. The were closed for maintence and didnt know when they'd open up that day. I was a little mad. That was the whole reason we waited to go was so the kids could see them. They still had fun though. There was a monkey that liked doing kissy lips to Alex. Elayne liked the chickens. I would think she'd be sick of them after seeing ours every day but she likes them. They got to feed the ducks and watch the otter get caught so they could clean its cage out. The weather was cooler and there was very few people there which made it nice.

Hill Air Force Base
The last weekend in May we took a trip to Utah to see Darwin fly in a B-17. It was a pretty exciting thing for him to do. His dad flew one in the war and so he's always been interested in them. I think he had a really good time by the big smile he was wearing on his face when he finished his ride. I'm glad he got to experiance that and I think he felt pretty close to his dad during that ride. Darwin even got to help get the propellers going. After his flight we went and seen Larissa's baby. This poor baby has had a tough life so far. She was born in December and was really early. Larissa named her Estasi (I can't remember the spelling now!) which means Ecstasy. The baby ended up being taken away from Larissa and is living with foster parents. She is 11lbs now and is a cutie. They have named her Sophie. They have three other kids who just adore her. That made me feel better knowing that she is in a good place and being loved. Saturday night we let the kids swim and they had a blast getting soggy. Sunday we went thru the Hill Air Force Museum and seen the jets and stuff. Its a neat place to go and free.
Memorial Weekend
Well I am going to try and do some catching up on the things that have been going on in our lives. We are busy as usual and its hard to find the time to do stuff like update the blog. For Memorial weekend we went to Henrys Lake to do some fishing. The weather wasnt too bad. Sunday we got some rain and that was okay because we stayed in the camper and played cards and visited. We went with Jeremys parents, James & Christa, and Nate. The girls all caught a fish (except for Elayne). They were around 4 1/2lbs each so not too bad. Chantea was scared of hers for some reason. Two years ago when we went she was loving them. Not this year! The docks were loaded with people catching the fish that were spawning. They were catching them like crazy but they were smaller ones. I tried taking the kids there but they were full of adults that sat there for hours fishing. Kinda pathetic. We did one morning and Livvy caught one but my tackle box was on the boat and it was hard to watch all the kids and hold Elayne. Wasnt worth getting caught by fly fishermans either. The people were kinda rude too. The docks are for loading and unloading the boats into the water. They'd get irritated because you interrupted there fishing to get your boat in or out. Then you'd have to watch that they didnt catch you. They were so close together I dont know how they could catch anything but each other as it was. The weekend was fun and we all caught a fish. I think its going to be a hard year to get out and go camping. All the rain we've been having doesnt help the situation.
