Sick!

This has been one of those weeks. We've all had colds and most of us are over it. Jeremy had it for quite awhile and is about through with it. I've been fighting sinuses all week. I must say I love my nedipot. Without it I'd be into the doctor taking care of a sinus infection. It seems like every time I get a cold I get a sinus infection and they are totally not fun. Its to the point they were going to have to do the nose thingy (I dont know what its called!) I heard thats not fun and I really dont want to do that. Since I've invested in the nedipot I've had no problems if I do it when I start getting a yucky nose. Best $15 I've ever spent! Last Friday Kerma called to tell us that Jeremys cousin Brandon and his wife Darci lost there twins. She has had numerous miscarriages and lost a baby before at around 7 months (I think!) because he quit growing. They finally got a little girl two years ago but she had stopped growing and they had to take her pretty early. She was really teeny. She is doing well now even though she's still teeny. =) I think Elayne weighs more then she does. They found out there were blood clots in the placenta and so they basically starved. Its a pretty sad thing. She was due in December and I heard they were going to do a C-Section a month early. I feel so bad for them. Darci had to have a C-Section Saturday to get them out. Its hard enough to miscarry but to have to go through the whole delivery process too would be really tough. They have definatly been in my prayers this week. Saturday we went to a Fly-In at the airport. It was a gloomy, rainy day but it was still neat. We didnt get rained on until the time we were leaving so it worked out good. The Black Hawk didnt show up but Bagley brought a jet and that was neat. The girls and Tag climbed on a rock wall. Jeremy also climbed up the rock wall. I have to keep reminding him he's not a little kid any more. =) He actually raced a friend up it and would have won if his foot wouldnt have slipped. Jeremy and Darwin got the gas inserts in that day and we got it inspected Tuesday and gas turned on Wednesday. I know we will be using it in a very short while. Olivia had a field trip Thursday to Big Springs. She got to see Johnny Sacs cabin and feed the fish and ducks. She wants us to go there this weekend. We went a few years ago but couldnt go in the cabins. Today is the girls last day of school for two weeks. Alexandra isnt happy about that. She is loving kindergarten. I'm trying to think of some fun things for them to do while they are out. Elayne finally figured out how to crawl on Monday. Now she is really into everything. My poor cat is not liking it. I dont know why she is the first thing the kids go for when they become mobile but she hates it. Elayne is loving it though. That is about all thats been going on. Who knows what next week will bring. =)

Derby

Saturday was the Demolition Derby and James, Nate and Kirby were all in it. It was a pretty good derby. They all kinda had a tough time this year in it. Kirby won it last year (I think it was!) and usually makes it to the final. Nate and James just has a rough time. Maybe they need to split up. =) James also did the truck event and what was up with that? Kidding James! He didnt get much action on that one. I think they all have fun doing it and no one got hurt so its all good. Tuesday we had our ward carnival. They did a bake food auction, supper and games for the kids. Its to help earn money for the young men and women. I didnt get to see much of the auction because the kids wanted to do games but my cake sold for $15 so that kinda makes me feel good. The kids had fun playing the games. They also got pictures done. Livvy was Ariel and Alex and Chantea was Cinderella. They did it last year and dressed up in fancy clothes. This year was the thingy where you stick your head through it. We will see how they turned out! Saturday we are going to an airplane thing at the airport. They are giving free airplane rides, going to have a Blackhawk helicopter and Harrison Ford is supposed to be there. There is also a car show and some other stuff. Its the first year they are doing it so hopefully its fun and they do it again. That is about all thats gone on. I'll have to get the picture of Kirbys car up and one of Chanteas nose. My camera batteries died. =P Sunday we were out playing and the puppy had a tug rope. Chantea was standing a few feet away from her and Jaz threw it up in the air and some how wacked her on the nose with it. The knot must of hit Chantea and it left a bruise. It was kinda funny how it happened. Just luck (or lack of!) I will try to get those pictures up eventually.

Weekend Update!

I figured I better update on what went on over the weekend and whats going on this week. Saturday I worked forever on laundry. How can camping make so much laundry I have NO idea. Then there is the sand mess. I was thinking of doing another sandbox because Elayne loved the sand (as you can tell from the picture) but I dont know if I want the mess. Labor Day weekend at Bear Lake is enough sand for me. Jeremy finally took the boat out. He brought home a fish for the girls. I guess the boat works since it ran and didnt sink. Sunday we had Stake Conference and got a new Stake Presidency. Kinda sad. Judge Keith Walker is our new President. It will be interesting. The counselers are Bruce Crapo and Rod Chandler. It was a good conference. Elder Scott was the Apostle that came up and gave a good talk. He told the women that if they havent been through the temple yet and are waiting on there husbands to go through with out them. I think by doing that your showing how important the church is too you and that your setting an example for your spouse. They may or may not go through eventually but you'll be recieving those blessings and I think the Lord will help you to encourage your spouse to get prepared. My thoughts anyways! It would be really hard to take that step without your spouse but like I said I think the blessings are worth it. That was just something that really stuck with me yesterday. Sunday afternoon I had Jennies baby shower to go too. It turned out good and they got a lot of baby clothes. If he comes early like he's trying too most of them wont fit. We are all hoping he decides to stay in there for a few more weeks but where her cervix is thinned out and she's dialeted to a one I dont think she'll make it to November when she's due. I just hope all goes well! Last night I went out my pathetic garden to pick my one ripe tomato and got lucky and found a grape one almost ripe. I decided to pick some jalepenos because the bush is loaded. I got a few off of it. I also got a handful of peas. I'm suprised they came up and got pods on them after the horses ate them. I figured they were all goners. Now if all the tomatoes would ripen I'd be happy. My plants are loaded but nothing is getting ripe very quick. I want fresh tomatoes! Tonight we have a block party. I guess all the neighbors are invited for a bbq. We will see how that goes! The rest of the week is just normal stuff. Thursday is our last softball game. =( I was kinda enjoying it. I needed the exercise for sure. I think that is about it for us.

Pictures

Here are some pictures that turned out really good at James and Christas wedding on the 23rd of August. The girls looked way cute in there flower girl dresses. They had a ton of fun doing it. I had to put the picture of Jeremy in his tux because he looked pretty good in it. He'll probably kill me for it but couldnt resist. =) It will be a LONG time before he gets in one again. Last night we made it to the fair. I know I ate way too much but it was pretty good. The girls rode on a couple of rides and we walked through the horses. The minis have to be one of my favorite but the big work horses are pretty neat too. There just huge! They had a few mares with foals and the foals are about the size of my horses. I would hate to shoe them. We got home way late and didnt get to look at a lot of stuff since we didnt get there until after 6 but I'm glad we went.

I did it!

Whoohooo!! I am so excited to have figured out atleast the background on this. Thanks for the help Christa! Its nice to know someone whose done this before to help those of us that are computer braindead. Now I will try to keep this updated as much as I can so everyone can know whats going on in our lives. So far there is not much to update on. Today we are going to try to make it to the fair. The girls are pretty excited about that. We've all been fighting a cold so that has not been much fun. Elayne has been teething for almost two weeks now and it is about in. I must say she is a little grump and just wants to be held. Right now she's got the cat cornered and there is a giant hair mess. Ick! Olivia and Alexandra started school on the 21st and love it. Livvy is in 2nd and Alex is in kindergarten. Chantea doesnt like them being gone and I'm having to entertain more but thats ok. Jer is staying busy at work. He was gone till 8 last night and missed our baseball game. They are doing the court house and will hopefully get it done today. We had a softball game last night and it was fun. Jer missed a good game. Our last game is next week. I've kinda enjoyed playing. That is about it for now. I will try to get pictures posted.
