Happy Halloween!

Today is the day Chantea has been waiting for since after Jeremys birthday. She gets so excited for birthdays and holidays. She wanted to get in her costume this morning because Livvy and Alex got to wear theres to school but I told her she had to wait until Livvy gets home. I know it would get dirty. Alex gets to do a little parade around the school in there costumes. Livvy is doing a Halloween play in her class. Wensday they got to carve pumpkins. Alex and Chantea didnt like gutting them. Chantea said it was the grossiest Halloween ever and the messiest. I let them draw faces on their pumpkins with crayons and then cut them out. Tonight at 5 we are going to the church for Trunk or Treat. They always get a ton of candy and means less houses we have to go to. We hit a couple of houses afterwards so they can do it the old style. This year Livvy is a Southern Belle, Alexandra is a princess, Chantea is a princess, and Elayne is a poodle. I even got a costume. I usually dont dress up but I'm helping at the Trunk or Treat and everyone dresses up. =P I am going to be a Web Princess. Livvy was asking me this morning what Jeremy was going to be. I told her nothing he wont dress up. She didnt like that answer. He may get cussed out when she sees him. =) I'm kinda disapointed about the weather. Its nice all week and then today its supposed to start getting yucky. I wish it would have held off one more day. Other then Halloween nothing much has happened this week. Its been a mellow week which I really needed. The 28th was my Dads birthday. We went over and visited for a bit before they went out to dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Orme. Thursday Alex and Chantea helped Christa frosting cookies. Well more like dump sprinkles all over for Elayne to get into and eat the frosting. =) They had fun though. The girls love to help cook and especially decorate cookies. Like I said nothing to exciting this week. Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween!

Crazy Days!

Well I am going to try and remember everything that has happened since last time I posted. It has been crazy and busy! The 17th was Jeremys birthday and I think the first part of it was good. He was hunting most of the day. He ended up not getting one but its always nice to be out in the wilderness and away from the everyday things. I dont remember when he got home but it was after 8:00 because the kids wanted to stay up and wait for him. He wasnt home for long when he did get there. He went down to Idaho Falls to be with his mom. So he opened the girls presents the made for him and the rest of them Saturday. Now to the second part of Friday. Corina had to take Kerma to the ER at ERMC because she was having bad stomach pains. She ended up having a perforated bowel. They had to put her on a plane and life flight her to University hospital in Salt Lake to do surgery. Jeremy and Darwin had to hurry to get down there. It was pretty scary. We thought she wasnt going to make it. They said her colon was just mush and had to totally remove it and now she has to wear a bag. Shes a pretty lucky lady. We went down Saturday to see her and she looked good. They were going to let her out this weekend but she was having some problems Thursday and they are thinking Monday the 27th now. She is doing great Darwin said so hopefully she'll be good enough to come home. I just hope she can have a break for awhile now. This week has been pretty crazy. Tuesday I got to watch Tayson and Brynlee for a few hours. They were really good. I've decided I like my bigger babies after watching him. He's just teeny. He's got these little chicken legs and arms and feels like a feather. Tuesday night we had to meet with the bishop. We couldnt figure out why because we both were recently put in callings. I figured it had something to do with Jeremy. We get in there and the bishop tells Jeremy we werent in there for him. I'm thinking crap! I just got put into primary a few months ago what now. =) I get to be the Young Womens President. All I could say was WOW. It was a shocked wow. I'm still not sure if I believe it or not. Its a big responibility. It didnt hit me until I got in the car then I started shaking. I will be even busier now. Wednesday and Thursday werent quite as hectic. Friday was bad. Jeremy left around 3:30 in the morning to go back up hunting and wont be back until today. I got a call from the school around 9:30 and Livvy had a tummache so I had to go pick her up. Before the school called my Dad called and was wondering if I could buy Nates fourwheeler. Nates been going through a tough time right now with Sheena leaving and he's got stuck with the bills and to top it off works been slow so he got a pay cut. The fourwheeler ended up getting repossesed. I was kinda wanting a new fourwheeler so it worked out. We had to find a Western Union to wire the money to the retail place and the closest one was Rexburg. So after Alex got home from school we went there. That was a joke! We were there for three hours. The kids did awesome. It was way past lunch time so I was waiting for them to be grumpy but they were great. We got there at 11 and didnt leave until after 2. I was getting grumpy! I was going to go to Idaho Falls with my Mom to look for Dads birthday present so she met us in Rexburg so I wouldnt have to drive back to St. Anthony. We went to Dairy Queen and had a very late lunch then headed to Idaho Falls. We stopped at Toys R Us and they didnt have what I was looking for. We went to Game Stop in the mall and they didnt have what I was looking for but Barnes and Nobles had the book I wanted to get Brynlee for Christmas so that wasn't a complete waste of time. I decided to try Hastings and if they didnt have it to heck with it. =) I got lucky! I had a hard time finding it on the internet and the places I did I didnt really want to order it from so I got very lucky. When we dropped mom off Kirby and Jennie were there so we stayed for a bit. He has Kambri this weekend and the girls dont get to play with her too often. Jennie had to go into the hospital Thursday night because her head was killing and she wasnt feeling good. I guess she had spinal fluid leaking into her body. It was making her skull crush her brain. They had to put blood in the hole and make it clot up. Now she can't lift anything for seven days. Not good with two little kids. Tonight is the schools Halloween carnival and of course the kids want to go. Its fun for them. We've gone the last couple of years. I really hope I got everything in here. I'm sure I forgot something. Hopefully next week will be less chatioc!

Chanteas Birthday!

October 10th was Chantea's birthday. She has been bouncing off the walls for a whole week (if not longer!) for it to get here. Its hard to believe she turned 3. She acts older then that in ways. She says she is big now. I think she had a pretty good birthday. It wasnt long after she opened her presents she was wanting to eat her cake. I had to keep telling her after supper. She wanted a candy cake so we put candy all over it. Definatly fits her! I dont let them eat a lot of candy but if Chantea could she would. I have to watch her because when I say they can she thinks she needs more then one piece. For her birthday dinner we went out to Gringos then of course afterwards she got to have a piece of her cake. Chantea sure is a cutee! Now I'll see if I can remember everything that has happened! On the 9th Kirby and Jennie had there baby. They named him Tayson and he weighed 5lbs 2 ounces and 18 inches. Just a teeny guy! He wasnt quite 37 weeks and had to be put on oxygen for awhile, feeding tubes, heart moniters and that kinda stuff so no one could hold him. We went up Thursday night to see him and the kids couldnt go in because its RSV season. I just talked to Mom and they said they need to make sure he is eating good before they let him out so it could be a few more days. I got to watch Brynlee all that day. The girls enjoyed that. She was pretty good. A fast little bugger thats for sure! I didnt get much of a break because she only napped for about an hour. Saturday Jeremy went out hunting with James for awhile. The weather was nasty windy and got some snow (ick!) Not long after Jer got home we heard a noise that sounded like something fell over. He went outside to see what it was. The tin on our roof was blowing up. He came in and took his binoculars off and before he could get back out it had blown off and got caught on the chimney. Another piece was flapping up and I dont know how it managed not to blow off. James ended up coming over a little later and they went on the roof and got the piece down and screwed the rest of it down. Just what we needed! Today the insurance guy came out to check it out. They were only going to cover what was damaged but he told Jeremy he'd cover the whole side. We really didnt want two different colors or to replace the whole thing. The upper part will be mismatched but wont be as noticeable since its facing a different direction. We got lucky on it. Livvy and Alex had to go back to school today. Livvy really didnt want to. It was quiet having them gone. I think the next break isnt until Thanksgiving. The girls were pretty excited when they got up this morning to see snow on the ground. I wasnt! Its been snowing for the past couple of days but nothing has stayed until last night. Jeremy's hunt starts Wednesday so he will be gone for a few days trying to get his bull elk. His birthday is the 17th too. Busy week for him! I told him if he's gone for his birthday he doesnt get his presents so I think he said he'll be back that day unless he gets one sooner. Better be! =) As you all can tell its been a bit busy around here. Hopefully it will slow down this week.

Birch Creek

Well our weekend camping trip didnt turn out too bad. It rained most of the first night but Saturday wasnt bad. It was cold but we could still sit around the fire and the kids weren't cooped up in the camper. There was a little patch of trees that they had fun in. They were like a bunch of monkeys. It rained Saturday for a bit not long after we got the food off the grills but by then it was dark and was okay. Sunday was fairly nice. The wind was chilly but again we were able to stay outside. The guys went on a fourwheeler ride both days. Sunday they seen elk and antelope on there ride. Last year I think they got one ride in since it was so nasty. This year was better. We got home after 7 and I know I was tired. I'm just glad that we didnt get snowed on. This week has been busy. Monday Jeremy took me out deer hunting. We stopped at one spot to go hiking and didnt get far before we ran into sheep so we decided to try some where else. We found another place that looked good and went searching. We were on this ridge thingy and heard brush moving so we snuck over to the edge to see what it was. More sheep! Darn things were scattered all over. I was ticked thats for sure. We went driving around some more and seen nothing but cows and then went up Bishop Mountain. We spooked up a pine hen and Jeremy was mad he didnt bring his shotgun. On the way down we saw a heard of deer. We stopped and jumped out. There were eight does. I had the one in my crosshairs and should've shot but decided I'd wait for a buck. I will never get a better shot then that one probably. They stood there for a little while then took off. We went after them but they had hightailed it out of there. I'm still kinda kicking myself over it but I've got till November 15th to find one. It was exciting though. I'm more eager to get out now. Jeremys deer hunt starts the 10th and he can only shoot buck so I'll have to find them before he does. =) His ends sooner though so I'd probably let him have it unless its big. I think he is more excited about his bull elk hunt that starts next week. That would be kewl if he can get one. He is planning on going the 15th (opening day) and coming back the 17th. Last I heard anyways! We will be busy hunting this month. This friday is Chantea's birthday. She is very excited. She woke up this morning and was jumping up and down saying its my birthday. I had to tell her not yet in two more days. We got balloons and icecream yesterday so that didnt help. She's been excited since Alex's birthday in August. We will probably take her out for dinner that night. I'm just not a party person and she is just excited to have a birthday. Next year will be different I'm sure. She wants a candy birthday cake so I'm trying to figure out what to do there. I've got some ideas and hopefully it will turn out. Tomorrow we may try taking the boat out to Henrys Lake and go fishing. It just depends on the weather. The girls have been wanting too. We've only been fishing once this year. They havent even fished out of Grandpa Ormes pond this year. This afternoon we may go watch Wall-E. The girls have been wanting to and I promised them we would a month ago but they've only had it on later. Its now on the matinee so I decided we better go before its too late. Jeremy is putting windows in Central School today. Work is staying busy but not like last year. I'm hoping this winter will be good and we will have enough work. Well that is all I can think of for now.

Summer is coming to an end

I can't believe winter is around the corner. I am sure it will hit this weekend. It has been so nice the past couple of weeks but once again cold is supposed to set in starting tomorrow. I know for a fact it will be nasty this weekend since we are planning our yearly camping trip to Birch Creek. Last year we got one four wheeler ride in and froze the whole time. This year is looking the same with rain and cold predicted in the forecast. Our snow clothes will be packed. =) This week has been busy. Livvy and Alex have been out for Spud Harvest. Monday we went birthday shopping for Chantea and Jeremy and that was an all day trip to Idaho Falls. Tuesday around noon I went out to water the horses and noticed a stick poking out of bucksins shoulder. I had dad and mom come over and help because I didnt know how she'd act. I was soooo glad it was Peppy because she is really mellow. The stick came out good and she did great. Luckily it missed everything important and now has a big hole in her that I get to doctor. Its kinda gross. The stick was in fairly deep. Of course I got pictures of it and my cameras dead and so I can't put them on right now. Now I get to put some antibacterial soap on it and try to keep it clean. The swelling has went down and she is walking good on it. She's her typical pesky self. I had to move her into the smaller pasture so she wouldnt be running with the big horses (or getting nipped at). She's been pretty easy to doctor so far but I'm sure in a few more days she'll be not liking it and it will be a chore. Thats usually how it goes. Tuesday night we went out to Jeremys parents and had pizza. Kerma just isnt doing good. They can't find out whats wrong with her. She's still bleeding inside, nothing tastes good to her and she can't get out of bed until noon if not later most days. They are giving her high doses of Prevacid (I think it is!) to see if she may have Chromes disease. The prevacid is terrible for her. It makes her bones weaker which they already are and its just hard on her body. She's going in on the 7th to have a camera take pictures of her insides and see if it can pick up anything. There is also a chance of leukimia. She is to the point of giving up I'm afraid. It would help if they could figure out what was wrong and so she would know what shes up against. We all think she needs to go to Salt Lake and see if they can help her. They are just better at that stuff. We are hoping something can be found soon so she can start feeling better. Wednesday Livvy had a dentist apppointment and another one today. I'm glad thats taken care of. She had a cavitiy on each side. The one was pretty big so it took a little longer. Todays was quick. Wednesday was also Kirbys daughter Brynlees first birthday. We went and had cake and icecream and watched her open presents. She sure is a cutee! Tomorrow I will be getting the camper loaded and all that fun stuff. I am hoping for atleast one nice day this weekend. I will have pictures!
